Before you can download the Trial License for the Mad! Widgets ASP.NET Validation Package, please fill in the form below. The Trial License will be sent to the email address supplied together with the package. The Trial License gives you full, unrestricted use of the Validator for a period of 30 days.
Only one Trial License can be supplied to a given IP address, machine name or domain name per user and the license is bound to that IP address, machine name or domain name. If you would like to trial the Validator on a different server to the one you initially requested a license for, please request another Trial License here.
If you require more than 30 days for testing, please submit a request to support@madwidgets.com when your Trial License is nearing expiry and a new 30 day Trial License will be sent out to you.
Examples of acceptable values for IP, machine or domain name are: 209.128.118.30, localhost, machine01, mydomain.com, etc.
Note that if you are entering an IP address, you cannot enter IPs that are within the ranges reserved for private networks.
So what do I do if my IP address is within one of these ranges?
If your IP address is within the reserved IP address range, you must be on a private network. Instead of using an IP address in your license, you could either use the name of the machine on which the license is being used or you could add an entry in your hosts file as follows:
127.0.0.1 www.mydomain.com
Where mydomain.com is any arbitrary domain name of your choosing (even one that has already been taken). Your hosts file is located in the directory c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc or whatever your local equivalent is. When you reference your website thereafter through a web browser, you should use www.mydomain.com instead of the IP address. You should also use it when browsing within VS.NET or WebMatrix.
mydomain.com is then the domain that you register in your license.
