and more ...
Please fill in the form below. Once this form is submitted you will be taken off to PayPal for your payment details. When payment has been confirmed by PayPal, your Site License will be sent to the email address supplied in this form automatically together with a ZIP file containing the software and all its components (this normally takes a matter of seconds to minutes). If for some reason the email containing the license and software does not arrive, please contact support@madwidgets.com and a replacement license will be issued to you when receipt of your payment is confirmed through PayPal.
If the website or server details you enter here change and you need to install the license on a different server or website, you can update your license with the new details.
Note that this license is bound to the Website IP address or domain name that you enter for your website. Be sure to enter only the second level domain for your site unless you specifically want to restrict the license to a certain subdomain hosted on the same machine. For example, if I was purchasing a license for www.madwidgets.com, I would enter madwidgets.com in the entry field. This will allow the license to work with any subdomain, e.g. www.madwidgets.com and licensing.madwidgets.com.
Note also that this license can be used on a single machine only. You cannot use this license on multiple machines. If you would like to purchase a license for a website hosted on multiple web servers, please purchase the Multiple Server License.
Note finally that if you are entering an IP address, you cannot enter IPs that are within the ranges reserved for private networks.
So what do I do if my IP address is within one of these ranges?
If your IP address is within the reserved IP address range, you must be on a private network. Instead of using an IP address in your license, you should add an entry in your hosts file as follows:
127.0.0.1 www.mydomain.com
Where mydomain.com is any arbitrary domain name of your choosing (even one that has already been taken). Your hosts file is located in the directory c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc or whatever your local equivalent is. When you reference your website thereafter through a web browser, you should use www.mydomain.com instead of the IP address. You should also use it when browsing within VS.NET or WebMatrix.
mydomain.com is then the domain that you register in your license. Note that you can update your license free of charge with a less temporary domain name once you've obtained one.
